NW Clotbusters - Ride Across America
Seattle to DC - June 21st through Aug 8th, 2006

Marie B. Walker
June, 2006

From June 21st through August 8th, 2006 the NWclotbusters organization will be cycling from Seattle WA, to Washington, DC to raise awareness of pulmonary embolism (PE) and other issues relating to blood clots. They will be stopping in over 40 cities and riding through dozens more. This ride is part of an effort by NWclotbusters to collaborate with thrombosis groups across the country to educate, inform, and empower the public regarding the hundreds of thousands of people who suffer a DVT or PE each year, many of whom are misdiagnosed. NWclotbusters will also be raising funds for OHSU Cancer Research Center in regard to thrombosis and the complications it brings to virtually every disease.

Anyone wishing to join the ride is invited to come along. You can view the route map and itinerary, learn more about the organization, and make a donation on the NWclotbusters' website at http://www.nwclotbusters.org.
