DVT & PE Support Groups: NATF Works to Establish a National Network Updated January, 2013 Originally posted June, 2011 The North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF) is working to establish a national network of support groups for patients with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and/or pulmonary embolism (PE). Any parties interested in forming such a support group should contact Kathryn Mikkelsen at kzmikkelsen@partners.org. Since the initiative was launched just over a year ago, 5 new support groups have been added: 2 in Canada; 1 in Philadelphia, PA; 1 in Chicago, IL; and 1 in Orlando, FL. Groups are also in the progress of forming in St. Louis, MO, Chicago, IL, and Orange, CA. If you are interested in forming a support group in your area, please contact Kathryn Mikkelsen at kzmikkelsen@partners.org.
